About Oohjacquelina & Team

Oohjacquelina is a handcrafted jewelry design company based in Boston, Massachusetts. It was created by artist Jacquelyn Wells in 2010 right before graduating from Northeastern University.  Oohjacquelina has various pop-up locations seasonally in New York City, New Hampshire, and Southern Maine.

Our tagline is "quality handcrafted to last" because we want you to wear our jewelry for many years to come, not just a few weeks. Our ear wire and dainty chains are either pure sterling silver or 14K gold fill, ensuring hypoallergenic, waterproof and non-tarnish materials.

Hand hammering, wire wrapping, freshwater pearls, semi-precious gemstones, and thread earrings are our specialty.

An artist her entire life, Jacquelyn studied Fine Art and Art Metals throughout high school and has a Music Business Bachelors of Science degree from Northeastern University. After beading and hand making headpieces from her Great Aunt'ss jewelry as a child, she started creating more intricate work. After taking various metal-smithing classes, she began a unique line of jewelry hammered, drilled, shaped, and hand cut from high quality metals. She gains inspiration from world travel and has worked with several non-profits to raise money for their causes.

Bridal Jewelry is Oohjacquelina's specialty. Hair combs and Stud Earrings are made from sterling silver and 14K gold filled wire wrapping pearls and Swarovski elements along with some vintage finds from markets around the world. She was a bridal consultant at a high end bridal boutique for 5 years. There she learned what brides were looking for by helping them plan their special day. She has had the honor to work with designers from JLM Couture and Alvina Valenta, Sadoni, and has had her jewelry worn by models at several New York International Bridal Week shows.

She was recently featured as a Designer to Watch at Paris Fashion Week and the DC Miami Fashion Week with her waterproof 14K gold filled jewelry line.

Jacquelyn is psyched to now be open 7 days per week at her permanent location: The Boston Public Market where she meets people from around the world and custom makes them jewelry on the spot.  Oohjacquelina now also offers permanent jewelry there as well.

We couldn’t do it without our amazing team.

Meet Oohjacq’s general manager at @bostonpublicmarket ! You may have seen her doing #permanentjewelry or maybe she custom made you a necklace ! As a child Naomi grew up collecting rocks and stringing plastic pony beads for fun. She decided to continue her passion in craft by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Jewelry/Metalsmithing at MassArt, where she fell in love with lapidary and using the pulse arc welder. It allowed her to make whimsical pieces with hidden mechanisms using hand polished gemstones. After graduating she gained experience in using machine & laser engraver, as well as CAD. She grew appreciation for working with machinery and technology in the process of jewelry making. We’re so lucky to have her ! Come visit us soon- we’re open 7 days per week!!!!
